Classical portraiture is the easiest to define. It is a static posed image, either a single person or a group. Just because this is a posed image does not mean it has to be a traditional stiff posed image. The image should be dynamic and show the subject with a natural un-posed look, rather than actually posing. We prefer to direct and refine the image to create a strong and memorable image.
Lifestyle portraits have been popular over the last few years. It was popularised by the "Gap Adverts" which showed children and adults in bright colours against a pure white background. As the style has matured it now covers more environmental aspects of portraiture to include the background as a descriptive part of the portrait.
